Domain Lead Insurance Risk Management (Insurance Risk)

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands; hybrid working with the Rotterdam office

Salary: €8,446–€11,262 per month based on 40 hours per week and depending on knowledge and experience

What you will do

• Coordinate the regular model review cycle, including model development, validation, approval, and maintenance.
• Coordinate annual and ad hoc updates to actuarial assumptions for mortality, morbidity, persistency, and expense inflation.
• Maintain data and control frameworks for relevant insurance risks.
• Communicate on models and assumptions with the actuarial function holder, validation teams, auditors, and DNB.
• Manage stakeholders on the financial impact of risks and assumptions within scope.
• Act as a sparring partner and coach more junior colleagues.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of relevant experience in insurance and/or financial risk management.
• Experience with actuarial risk modelling and best estimate assumption setting in a Solvency II context.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to explain complex matters clearly to senior management and specialists.
• Structured, proactive approach to coordinating multiple projects, identifying emerging risks, proposing mitigants, and driving implementation.
• Leadership ability, including acting as a role model and supporting colleagues’ development.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
