Senior Risk Manager (Crypto)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain a risk management framework for the Trading Venue segment across market, operational, conduct, and technology risks.
• Assess market surveillance arrangements for rule infringements, disorderly trading, market abuse indicators, and system disruptions.
• Evaluate participant trading capabilities and financial resource adequacy in relation to settlement arrangements.
• Review systems and controls, including algorithmic trading resilience, capacity, and technology risk.
• Assess DLT infrastructure, operational, settlement, and business continuity arrangements against MFSA requirements.
• Support regulatory correspondence, notifications, and reporting with the MFSA.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in risk, compliance, or regulatory roles within a trading venue, regulated market, MTF/OTF operator, exchange, or equivalent market infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of the MFSA framework or an equivalent ESMA-supervised national competent authority and MiFID II requirements for trading venues.
• Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgment, and escalate appropriately.
• Eligible to hold PQ (Approved Person) status with the MFSA or obtain it in due course.
