Reliability Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Singapore or Hong Kong; hybrid working opportunities available.

Quantitative trading firm developing electronic trading infrastructure, market access, data, compute, research, and risk management systems.

What you will do

• Manage widely deployed order management and market data delivery systems across electronic exchanges and asset classes.
• Coordinate requirements with trading, risk management, business management, and compliance teams, and ensure appropriate production solutions are implemented.
• Provide level-one and level-two support for production systems and serve as the primary technical contact for brokers and exchanges.
• Design and implement support systems that improve reliability and enable self-correction.
• Monitor and report on system status and health while collaborating with core engineering teams on architecture and development.
• Provide periodic after-hours coverage.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in the finance industry.
• Proficiency in Python scripting and/or Perl, Bash, or Shell.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux OS, the kernel, scheduling, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, routing, VLAN, and multicast.
• Knowledge of SQL, MongoDB, and database usage.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, multitasking, and communication skills.
