What you will do

• Monitor project expenditures and analyze budget performance against approved funding.
• Prepare cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and executive financial summaries.
• Support project managers with cost forecasting, contingency management, and financial decisions.
• Evaluate project trends, change orders, and potential cost impacts to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare and review project authorization packages, budget revisions, and funding requests.
• Integrate cost and schedule information, maintain project documentation, and communicate financial risks and corrective actions.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in project cost analysis, project controls, or capital project financial management.
• Experience supporting utility or large infrastructure capital projects.
• Strong knowledge of project budgeting, forecasting, cost reporting, change management, and estimate-at-completion methodologies.
• Experience interpreting project financial information and communicating cost performance to project leadership.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with electric transmission and substation capital programs at an EPC firm.
• Experience with SAP, Maximo, Power BI, Primavera P6, Cognos, or similar project controls systems.
• Knowledge of earned value management, integrated cost and schedule reporting, and utility capital governance.
• AACE CCP, AACE CCT, or another relevant project controls certification.
