New Graduate Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid role based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, or Sunnyvale, California, United States

What you will do

• Collaborate with experienced engineers on systems programming and infrastructure challenges.
• Design, implement, test, and debug software affecting system performance and reliability.
• Develop low-level components that interact with hardware and networking infrastructure.
• Participate in debugging, performance optimization, and system bring-up.
• Build tools and infrastructure that improve observability, reliability, and scalability.
• Work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, compiler, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

• Recently graduated or currently enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related university program, with graduation in 2026.
• Proficiency in C and C++.
• Interest or exposure to systems or socket programming, networking, embedded systems, operating systems, device drivers, distributed systems, or network performance.
• Willingness to work closely with hardware and networking systems and learn low-level engineering concepts.
• Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and learning skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Linux systems programming or debugging tools.
• Familiarity with TCP, RDMA, RPCs, Wireshark, and packet-trace tools.
• Exposure to device drivers, embedded systems, distributed infrastructure, concurrent programming, or performance optimization.
• Interest in large-scale AI infrastructure and accelerated computing systems.
