What you will do

• Own the chemistry-driven understanding of coolant and process fluid interactions with materials and components
• Quantify degradation mechanisms and failure modes related to coolants
• Design and execute experimental programs evaluating corrosion, erosion, polymer swelling, and contamination transport
• Develop test conditions reflecting operating environments including temperature, pressure, flow, and impurity levels
• Develop and validate mitigation strategies to improve system reliability and lifetime
• Drive cross-functional integration and execution with engineering teams

Requirements

• Must have MS or PhD in Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Corrosion Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in corrosion, electrochemistry, coolant chemistry, materials compatibility testing, or failure analysis in demanding environments
• Demonstrated ability to design experiments, analyze complex datasets, and communicate results effectively
• On-site work in Everett, WA required
