Salary: $159,000 – $208,000 per year

What you will do

• Plan and run materials test campaigns on various materials
• Lead failure investigations on structural and polymer-based insulation systems and related components
• Develop and follow lab procedures and checklists for test areas
• Provide materials input to design processes
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate regularly
• Support and mentor lab technologists on test methods and setups

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years experience in failure analysis of materials or components, including electrical insulation systems
• Experience with materials characterization and failure analysis tools such as optical and SEM microscopy, mechanical and dielectric testing, polymer characterization
• Experience working in lab environments with custom or nonstandard setups, including fixture assembly and test scripting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration
• Process-oriented approach to lab work with consistent documentation and safety adherence
