Software Reliability Engineer (Temporary FTE)

Salary: $109,250–$163,370 base pay per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate systems supporting the autonomous vehicle platform and fleet operations across the full development lifecycle.
• Build fleet-scale pipelines that transform onboard signals into actionable investigations.
• Develop automated triage and correlation systems to deduplicate issues, route ownership, and provide diagnostic context.
• Create internal tools and workflows for self-service debugging, standardized metrics, shared templates, and securely scoped access.
• Lead reliability investigations and convert findings into improved instrumentation, automation, and durable engineering changes.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and use operational feedback to improve system reliability.

Requirements

• Experience writing and shipping software with ownership of its real-world behavior.
• Ability to build and maintain tools and automation using Python, Go, Bash, or C++.
• Comfort navigating systems remotely through SSH and CLI tools.
• Ability to inspect Linux systems and services.
• Interest in reliability engineering, distributed systems, and scaling systems reliably.
