Senior ML Research Scientist, End-to-End Autonomous Driving

Salary: $183,825–$275,975 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Advance state-of-the-art end-to-end machine learning models for autonomous driving, processing camera, LiDAR, and radar data into driving behaviors.
• Experiment with large-scale real-world driving datasets, large models, and compute infrastructure.
• Research solutions for long-tail events, safe and verifiable reasoning, and passenger comfort in autonomous vehicles.
• Collaborate with autonomy teams to identify challenges and develop roadmaps for learned solutions.
• Build data, training, evaluation, and validation pipelines with infrastructure and data teams.
• Optimize models for practical performance and deploy them to hirify.globalDriver vehicles on public roads.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, or a related field; an M.S. or Ph.D. is preferred.
• Subject matter expertise and research experience in machine learning, with experience in one or more of end-to-end autonomous driving models, imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or world models.
• Strong programming and problem-solving skills in Python; C++ is preferred.
• Ability to independently lead multifaceted research projects, collaborate across organizations, and deliver results on time.
• Research publications at major conferences such as CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CoRL, RSS, or ICRA.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced research and development environment.
