Senior DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate the cloud platform that enables product and engineering squads to deliver reliably and autonomously.
• Own and evolve the production Kubernetes platform, cluster lifecycle, and core cloud infrastructure.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code patterns, GitOps workflows, automated pipelines, and self-service tooling.
• Lead cross-team platform projects from problem definition and architecture through implementation and launch.
• Improve reliability, security, and operational efficiency by reducing toil and automating runbooks.
• Respond to production incidents and manage platform changes across segmented and compliance-bound environments.

Requirements

• Senior experience building and operating cloud platforms in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Hands-on production Kubernetes expertise and experience with the CNCF ecosystem and cluster lifecycle management.
• Strong infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD experience with Pulumi, Terraform, or CloudFormation, plus GitOps and safe automated rollouts.
• Experience with incident response, blameless postmortems, observability, and automation to reduce MTTR.
• Knowledge of networking, identity, compute, storage, and runtime services at scale.
• Practical experience with TypeScript, Go, or Python and shell scripting, along with strong cross-functional communication and technical leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with PCI or other compliance-segmented environments.
• Familiarity with service mesh, autoscaling, and policy tools such as Istio, Karpenter, Kyverno, or KEDA.
• Background in self-service platform tooling and developer experience improvements.
• Exposure to AI and automation tooling for runbook automation and incident triage.
