Data Center Electrical Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain electrical design criteria, specifications, and Basis of Design documentation for data center deployments.
• Translate AI system and cluster power requirements into complete facility electrical architectures.
• Design and review utility service, medium- and low-voltage distribution, UPS systems, generators, and rack-level power distribution.
• Perform technical studies including load flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc-flash analysis.
• Coordinate electrical requirements with liquid-cooling systems, controls, and critical mechanical infrastructure.
• Support commissioning, factory acceptance testing, and operational readiness activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of experience in mission-critical, hyperscale, or industrial facility electrical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, transformers, switchgear, and UPS systems.
• Proficiency in developing Basis of Design documents, one-line diagrams, and technical submittals.
• Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE standards, and UL/NEMA requirements.
• Ability to travel to project sites, vendor facilities, and partner data centers as required.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with high-density AI, HPC, or liquid-cooled data center deployments.
• Familiarity with electrical analysis tools like ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
