Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, WA; expected to work from the Seattle offices

Salary: $128,000–$189,000 base salary annually, plus bonus plans

hirify.global is a Seattle-based nonprofit AI research institute developing foundational AI research, open models, data, robotics, and conservation technologies.

What you will do

• Integrate software subscriptions with Okta to provide consistent user and access management.
• Create Terraform configurations for standardized AWS and Google Cloud infrastructure management.
• Build and deploy software for security-vulnerability monitoring and aggregate infrastructure costs across services.
• Develop automated pipelines for managing employee accounts, permissions, and access audits.
• Implement incident-response automation, including auto-remediation workflows for common alerts.
• Automate backups and disaster recovery across critical systems and data stores while documenting internal systems and runbooks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT or software development, including at least 3 years focused primarily on automation.
• Strong coding ability in Python or a similar language.
• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kandji/Iru, and Okta.
• Experience administering AWS and Google Cloud, with knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Experience with SAML and SCIM, clear technical documentation, and the ability to translate business needs into automated solutions.
• Authorization to work in the United States is required.

• Background in cybersecurity.
• Hands-on experience supporting security and compliance audits.
