Payment & Billing Analyst - Maternity Cover – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract (Finance)

What you will do

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices, billing schedules, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate billing activities with Operations and resolve invoice, payment, and billing queries.
• Prepare payment runs, billing reports, account reconciliations, and related financial records.
• Liaise with banking institutions and investigate discrepancies in payment and billing processes.
• Support weekly and monthly financial reporting, including billing analysis, payment status reporting, and cash flow forecasts.
• Identify opportunities to improve invoicing, reporting, and reconciliation through automation, data analysis, and AI-enabled solutions.

Requirements

• Experience with invoicing, customer billing, payment processing, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing billing cycles, invoice queries, and payment processes in a deadline-driven environment.
• Experience working with banking institutions and payment processing activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills covering data analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and payment tracking.
• Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with Operations and Finance teams.

Nice to have

• Experience in a high-volume finance, billing, or accounts environment.
• Experience working in a multi-currency environment or with international payments and foreign currency reconciliations.
• Experience using finance systems, ERP platforms, billing systems, and reporting tools.
• Interest in or experience applying AI tools to operational efficiency, reporting, or process automation.
