Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Remote - Bulgaria; Sofia, Bulgaria

Salary: €55,000–€67,000 annual gross

What you will do

• Oversee the reliability, performance, and security of critical production services from design through deployment and support.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to build and maintain resilient infrastructure and efficient deployment pipelines.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and software deployments using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools.
• Participate in and improve the 24/7 on-call process, troubleshoot incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
• Document and standardize configurations and processes while mentoring engineers in DevOps best practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or software engineering with increasing responsibility in system design and operations.
• Production experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including cluster management and scaling.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Strong coding and scripting skills in Python, Go, or Ruby for building system-management automation.
• Deep knowledge of AWS and/or GCP, plus cloud infrastructure design and operations at scale.
• Understanding of networking, security, monitoring, alerting, and SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, and incident management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, MySQL or PostgreSQL, Redis, or Elasticsearch.
