Trade Operations Analyst (Investment Operations)

What you will do

• Process, confirm, and settle trades across multiple asset classes, monitoring lifecycle events and corporate actions.
• Perform cash, position, and transaction reconciliations, investigate breaks, and resolve operational exceptions.
• Work with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, brokers, counterparties, administrators, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
• Support investment restriction monitoring, fund and instrument onboarding, operational reporting, and root-cause analysis.
• Identify process improvements, strengthen controls, support automation, system enhancements, and user acceptance testing.
• Support MiFID II, EMIR, and SFTR reporting, audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory change initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience in investment operations, trade support, fund operations, middle office, or a related financial services environment.
• Understanding of trade lifecycle processes and financial instruments, with willingness to develop knowledge across asset classes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, reconciliation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, OMS/PMS and custodian platforms.
• Proactive, organised, collaborative, curious, and committed to continuous professional development.

Nice to have

• Experience monitoring investment guidelines and restrictions.
• Awareness of MiFID II, EMIR, and SFTR regulatory reporting regimes.
• Experience with third-party oversight, SLA monitoring, or KPI reporting.
• Strong Excel skills; VBA, SQL, Python, or automation tools.
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and operational transformation.
