Principal Software Developer (Node.js)

Location: Remote within Europe, Albania, Poland, Romania, or Ukraine

What you will do

• Collaborate with stakeholders on solution discovery, technical design, estimations, and delivery planning.
• Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and reliable back-end-focused full-stack solutions.
• Own features end-to-end from technical design through deployment and support.
• Design enterprise integrations, automation workflows, and data processing solutions.
• Contribute to AI-enabled engineering workflows and establish responsible standards for AI coding assistants.
• Lead, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Middle and Senior engineers across multiple teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of commercial software engineering experience with a strong back-end focus.
• Expert hands-on experience with JavaScript and Node.js, plus experience with React.
• Strong experience designing and developing REST API and/or GraphQL solutions.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, scalability, integrations, and risk management.
• Daily experience using AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher; remote work is limited to the listed European locations.

• Formal team leadership experience.
• Experience building AI-enabled business solutions or working with enterprise process automation platforms.
• Experience defining governance standards for AI-assisted development.
• Exposure to complex distributed enterprise systems.
