Senior Motion Designer

Location: Remote, based in Canada

What you will do

• Create motion graphics, video content, and graphic design assets for social media campaigns and digital channels.
• Edit short-form videos, reels, stories, advertisements, interviews, event footage, and branded content.
• Transform raw footage and static assets into polished content using strong hooks, pacing, storytelling, and visual hierarchy.
• Animate static designs, typography, illustrations, key visuals, and campaign materials.
• Adapt assets across brands, industries, platforms, formats, dimensions, and visual identities while maintaining consistency.
• Manage projects from brief interpretation through final delivery, including subtitles, sound design, music, transitions, effects, and other post-production work.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in motion design or a related creative discipline.
• Strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating advanced motion design and video editing capabilities; a portfolio/showreel is required.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro, with strong knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Strong understanding of animation principles, typography, composition, editing, pacing, visual storytelling, and social-first formats.
• Experience working across diverse brands and editing branded, promotional, interview, event, and user-generated footage.
• Strong written and spoken English, attention to detail, organization, ownership, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a remote contractor environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in entertainment, gaming, sports, lifestyle, or other fast-moving consumer industries.
• Experience using AI tools for creative ideation, editing, content generation, or production workflows.
