Sanctions Advisory Specialist (Crypto)

What you will do

• Act as the internal subject matter expert on sanctions compliance risks, controls, industry practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide actionable sanctions risk advice to stakeholders across the organization and support the Global Head of Sanctions.
• Monitor regional regulatory developments and translate legal changes into potential policy adjustments.
• Evaluate processes for identifying, documenting, and assessing sanctions risks across business activities.
• Support the investigation, mitigation, and prompt remediation of sanctions compliance issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to embed sanctions requirements and controls across the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; JD or master's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of sanctions compliance experience in a global financial institution is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of banking, payment, or cryptocurrency compliance frameworks and controls.
• ACAMS or ACFCS certification preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, drafting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work across functional and geographic lines, meet deadlines, make decisions, and manage multiple projects.
