Automation Operations Infrastructure Engineer

Location: On-site in Kulim, Malaysia. The role follows a compressed Wednesday–Saturday work week in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.

hirify.global Foundry's Automation Operations group implements and supports software and infrastructure solutions for factory efficiency and product quality across hirify.global's global manufacturing network.

What you will do

• Provide technical troubleshooting and operational support for factory automation platforms and infrastructure.
• Harden automation processes and products through project work.
• Support distributed enterprise systems across global factory operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system challenges and optimize manufacturing operations.
• Document processes, tools, and solutions to support knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with technologies relevant to manufacturing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting infrastructure and platforms.
• Ability to troubleshoot software- and hardware-related issues.
• Foundational knowledge of operating system architecture, configuration, and networking protocols.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse global teams.
• Availability for the Wednesday–Saturday compressed work schedule and on-site work in Kulim.

Nice to have

• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, software engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, mechatronics engineering, or a related technical field.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, ITIL frameworks, and DevOps practices.
• Ability to adapt to and learn new technologies quickly.
