Senior Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States or Canada

What you will do

• Secure and harden cloud infrastructure, applications, APIs, internal systems, production environments, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and improve security architecture, controls, encryption, secrets management, access controls, logging, and monitoring for cloud-native distributed systems.
• Identify, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities through scanning, penetration testing, adversarial testing, threat modeling, and manual security reviews.
• Secure AI-driven systems and automated agents against prompt injection, adversarial inputs, unsafe actions, unsafe outputs, and data leakage.
• Build AI guardrails, validation layers, observability, auditability, behavioral monitoring, and safe-failure mechanisms.
• Investigate suspicious activity, support incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventative remediation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, application security, DevSecOps, or offensive security.
• Exceptional knowledge of AWS.
• Demonstrated experience identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in live production systems.
• Ability to drive projects independently, make decisions, and prioritize effectively in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical security issues to engineering stakeholders.
• Applicants must be based in the United States or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience securing AI or LLM-powered systems and automated agents.
• Knowledge of prompt injection, adversarial AI techniques, AI guardrails, and behavioral anomaly detection.
• Experience with cloud security tooling, SIEM, observability, penetration testing, endpoint security, and infrastructure-as-code security.
• Background in high-growth startups, fintech, banking, or payments.
• CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty, or a similar certification.
