Python Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Python backend services and REST APIs with FastAPI, including middleware, authentication, async I/O, background tasks, and database integrations.
• Develop performant and testable React interfaces using modern state management, hooks, and API integrations.
• Deploy, operate, troubleshoot, and scale applications on Azure App Services.
• Build GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, code quality checks, and deployments.
• Integrate Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, LangChain, vector search, RAG workflows, smart assistants, and automated tools.
• Implement logging, monitoring, application observability, prompt safeguards, and reliability improvements for production systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
• Strong Python skills, including typing, packaging, async programming, and clean code organization.
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI or similar backend frameworks and React frontend development.
• Experience deploying web applications on Azure App Services or similar PaaS environments.
• Proficiency with Git, GitHub Actions, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and relational or NoSQL database integration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, LangChain, LLM workflows, tool-using agents, and RAG architectures.
• Knowledge of structured prompt engineering, few-shot prompting, structured outputs, and safety guardrails.
• Experience with Celery, RQ, Azure Functions, queue systems, or Azure observability stacks.
• Previous experience in client-facing or consulting technology environments.
