Associate Compliance Officer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Support customer due diligence and KYC/KYB processes for new client onboarding.
• Gather and verify business formation documents, ownership structures, and beneficial ownership information.
• Perform client risk assessments using established frameworks and checklists.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, suspicious activity, and potential compliance issues to senior compliance staff.
• Coordinate with sales and operations to collect outstanding information and maintain onboarding velocity.
• Maintain onboarding records, assist with periodic account reviews and compliance reports, and document policy and procedure updates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of experience in compliance, finance, banking, or related operations.
• Working understanding of BSA/AML, OFAC, FinCEN, CDD, and KYB requirements.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong organization, and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage a queue, prioritize competing deadlines, and meet service levels.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgment about when to escalate.
