Online Tutor

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $18.87–$20.50 per hour, plus potential incentive, commission, or annual bonus pay.

What you will do

• Deliver one-to-one synchronous tutoring through chat, text, and audio across multiple grade levels and subject areas.
• Coach students and provide content support across company learning platforms.
• Prepare and deliver targeted interventions focused on conceptual understanding.
• Apply instructional best practices and monitor performance against team metrics.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective instructional practices.
• Complete onboarding, mentoring, and ongoing professional development activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and at least one year of K–12 tutoring or teaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in at least two relevant subject areas, including Social Studies, English/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Spanish, or French.
• Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, organization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, collaborate effectively, and work flexible hours.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and at least one online or blended learning platform.
• Must successfully obtain fingerprint clearance within the first two weeks of employment.

Nice to have

• Current or previous teaching certification.
• Prior experience teaching or tutoring in an online or blended environment.
• Bilingual fluency in French or Spanish for language-specific tutoring positions.
