AP English Language and Composition Teacher (Remote)

Location: Fully remote; listed locations include Hong Kong, Shanghai, and the United States. No travel required.

What you will do

• Teach AP English Language and Composition remotely to a small class of high school students.
• Deliver 2–3 hours of live instruction each week during the academic year.
• Guide students through synthesis, rhetorical analysis, and argument essays.
• Prepare students for the multiple-choice rhetorical skills section in line with current College Board requirements.
• Create asynchronous activities and assignments covering the required AP course content.
• Use the LMS, College Board resources, Zoom, and established teaching methods and materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Direct experience teaching AP English Language and Composition.
• Strong knowledge of College Board scoring rubrics and the AP English Language and Composition exam format.
• Ability to teach fully remotely with no travel required.

Nice to have

• Experience teaching AP English Language and Composition in a virtual or online setting.
