Senior Software Architect (Industrial AI & Automation)

What you will do

• Design and build complex fullstack systems with data and AI integrations from proof of concept through production.
• Lead technical discovery workshops, gather requirements, assess current systems, and define target architectures with business, data, and IT stakeholders.
• Select appropriate technologies based on industry standards and client constraints, owning the path from architecture to hands-on implementation.
• Design software architectures, data products, and reliable infrastructure for industrial and business environments.
• Deliver features, conduct code reviews, provide architecture guidance, and mentor junior engineers on AI and data topics.
• Support business-unit growth through technical scoping, proposals, client conversations, and improvements to delivery practices.

Requirements

• Technical university degree in computer science, software engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of industry experience and extensive hands-on experience building and shipping production-ready systems.
• Strong software engineering and architecture background, including experience with emerging technologies.
• Practical domain knowledge in logistics, production, robotics, defense, or similar industrial and enterprise environments.
• Strong command of both German and English is required.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and rapid change in early-stage product development.
