Data Scientist (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY or San Francisco, CA with hybrid work format

Salary: $137,120 – $297,330 per year

What you will do

• Develop full stack data models to transform and expose data to stakeholders and production systems
• Drive a culture of experimental design, testing, and best practices within the data team
• Collaborate with finance teams to develop financial insights and influence business decisions
• Partner with data engineering teams to manage data pipelines and transform raw data into actionable insights
• Contribute to improving processes, tools, and systems for scalable decision-making

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to New York, NY or San Francisco, CA
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Data Science, Software Engineering, or Finance
• Strong AI proficiency and track record of shipping high-quality products at scale
• Familiarity with financial metrics, B2B sales cycle metrics, and strong SQL skills (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery)
• Experience with modern data stack tools (Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Hightouch)

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools like Omni, Sigma, Hex
• Strong business strategy intuition and customer empathy
• Experience partnering with finance or payments/financial technology teams
