Software Engineer in Test

Location: Remote within the United States; applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Build automated regression test infrastructure for data science microservices.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies and high-impact test cases for data products, models, and insights.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and stability of automated test suites across multiple environments.
• Perform end-to-end system testing and post-deployment validation with software and test engineers.
• Investigate, isolate, document, and verify product defects through resolution.
• Promote quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development, SDET, or QA automation.
• 3+ years of coding experience in Python, with clean and maintainable code practices.
• Experience testing APIs and databases, writing and analyzing SQL queries, and using Pytest or similar frameworks.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana or New Relic, and CI/CD tools such as CircleCI or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with AWS, GitHub, JIRA, and Postman.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, automated testing approaches, troubleshooting, and communication.

Nice to have

• Performance testing experience and familiarity with related tools.
• Understanding of data science concepts and experience testing ML models.
• Experience with Kafka, Groundcover, Sentry, or MLFlow.
• Understanding of the full application development lifecycle.
