Embedded AI Engineer Intern (Computer Vision)

What you will do

• Design, implement, and optimize computer vision and perception algorithms.
• Develop and test object detection, tracking, and recognition models.
• Research emerging computer vision methods through literature reviews and algorithm benchmarking.
• Work with large datasets to train and evaluate AI models.
• Experiment with novel perception approaches and integrate vision algorithms into production systems.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and researchers in the R&D Innovation team.

Requirements

• Familiarity with Python, C/C++, and embedded software development concepts.
• Understanding of embedded systems, including microcontrollers, embedded Linux, hardware-software integration, and real-time systems.
• Understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including deep neural networks, model training, inference, and performance evaluation.
• Exposure to computer vision, image processing, object detection, and feature extraction.
• Understanding of Edge AI concepts, including quantization, pruning, model optimization, and deployment on resource-constrained devices.
• Internship-level interest in software development, research, and innovation.

Nice to have

• Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow and model deployment pipelines.
• Exposure to CUDA, TensorRT, OpenVINO, ONNX Runtime, or NPU-based platforms.
• Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, STM32, ESP32, Qualcomm RB, or similar embedded AI platforms.
