Senior Software Engineer (AI) | Kimchi Studio

Location: Remote-first, available from Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, or Ukraine

Salary: €6,500–€9,000 gross per month, depending on experience

What you will do

• Build features for Kimchi Studio, a collaborative desktop application for autonomous coding agents and model orchestration.
• Develop Electron and React user interfaces, Node services, and Go backend components.
• Own features from design and implementation through testing and production rollout.
• Support multi-agent workflows, Git worktrees, remote sessions, and integrated developer toolchains.
• Debug application and database performance using query profiles and flame graphs.
• Collaborate directly with product and engineering teams on complex problems without established solutions.

Requirements

• Experience driving a complex product feature from idea to production.
• Full-stack engineering experience with TypeScript and either Go or the ability to develop deeply in both areas.
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills.
• Attention to user experience, application speed, and product quality.
• Ability to work remotely from one of the listed eligible countries.
• Visa sponsorship and work permit support are not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience shipping Electron applications at scale, including updates, code signing, and multi-platform builds.
• Kubernetes internals experience.
• Experience building personal AI workflows or coding harnesses.
