A&R Creative and Licensing (Music Licensing): Driving creative development, songwriter relationships, publishing operations, and commercial licensing partnerships for WCM Korea with an accent on project management, contract negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration. Focus on managing songwriting initiatives, negotiating songwriter and publisher agreements, developing brand and outbound licensing opportunities, and aligning Korean publishing activities with global strategies.
Location: Seoul, South Korea. Minimum four days per week in the office is required.

What you will do
- Drive A&R creative development, manage songwriter relationships, and support commercial growth for WCM Korea.
- Manage creative and commercial projects from ideation through execution, including milestones, timelines, deliverables, budgets, presentations, reports, and newsletters.
- Organize songwriting initiatives such as song camps and writing sessions with local, regional, and global teams.
- Negotiate and manage songwriter and original publisher contracts, including splits, advances, renewals, expirations, and signing status.
- Identify and execute brand collaborations, agency deals, and outbound licensing partnerships across production, film, television, gaming, and other markets.
- Collaborate with Legal, Administration, Analytics, Communications, Sync, A&R, record labels, co-publishers, attorneys, managers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in music, business, or a related field.
- At least five years of relevant experience in project management, music publishing, A&R, licensing, commercial development, or a related field.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, project management, negotiation, and deal management skills.
- Ability to build presentations, reports, and high-level summaries using data and key performance insights.
- Professional comfort in Korean and English is required.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and work flexible hours with international stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Korean copyright law and the KOMCA licensing framework.
- Experience with sync licensing, DSP negotiations, and publishing operations.
- Strong understanding of the Korean music market and publishing industry.
- Experience signing and developing songwriters and leading successful partnerships.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, SAP, Monday.com, Mailchimp, Frame.io, Sharp, Tango, and other publishing systems.
