Staff Software Engineer in Test (Mobile) (Swift/Kotlin): Defining native-first quality strategies and automation for iOS and Android applications, connected to backend and API layers, with an accent on testability, release quality gates, and scalable device coverage. Focus on reducing test flakiness, coaching engineering teams, measuring quality risk, and establishing responsible AI-assisted testing workflows.
Location: Remote options available in Poland; office location: Warsaw, Poland.

What you will do
- Design and own the native mobile test strategy for iOS and Android applications.
- Build scalable device and OS-version coverage, control test flakiness, and run automation through BrowserStack and GitLab CI.
- Strengthen backend, API, and contract testing while connecting quality practices to mobile delivery.
- Define quality metrics and release gates, and lead cross-team resolution of quality risks.
- Coach engineers, mentor Senior Software Engineers in Test, and promote shift-left quality ownership.
- Define AI adoption, governance, data-security, and risk-management practices for testing workflows.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with native mobile test automation for iOS or Android, ideally both.
- Working-level Swift and/or Kotlin experience.
- Experience designing test strategies and test pyramids rather than only executing existing plans.
- Demonstrated shift-left practice and experience leading technical or process change across development teams.
- Experience with mock-based testing, cross-team quality initiatives, and mentoring engineers.
- Fluent English required. A hands-on understanding of AI usage and associated risks is also required.
Nice to have
- Fluent Polish.
- BrowserStack, GitLab CI/CD, snapshot testing, or Appium experience.
- Experience applying AI in testing workflows.
- Logistics or e-commerce industry experience.
- ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer certification.
