Software Engineer I (Java)

Location: Cyberjaya, Malaysia; hybrid work with regular office attendance required

What you will do

• Develop and maintain software using Java technology stacks.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications using frontend, backend, cloud, and infrastructure technologies.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and release processes through repeatable and efficient deployment practices.
• Use Git, Jenkins, Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence in the development workflow.
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, troubleshooting, and delivery effectiveness.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of software development experience, or equivalent experience through internships, academic projects, or bootcamps.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, React or Angular, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented programming.
• Exposure to databases, APIs, and application development concepts.
• Basic knowledge of version control systems such as Git and CI/CD practices.
