What you will do

• Conduct field visits to applicants’ residences, businesses, and references.
• Interview applicants and third parties to verify employment, business operations, finances, and personal character.
• Assess the five Cs of credit and inspect pledged collateral for ownership and marketability.
• Collect photos, GPS coordinates, and supporting documents using field investigation tools.
• Prepare credit investigation reports with findings and risk-based recommendations.
• Coordinate with underwriting and loan approval teams while monitoring documents for authenticity and fraud indicators.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Criminology, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in credit investigation, field verification, or loan processing.
• Strong analytical, investigative, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively are required.
• High integrity, discretion, attention to detail, independence, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with local geography and communities is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience in microfinance, rural banking, or consumer lending.
• Proficiency in report writing and mobile data collection tools.
• Knowledge of fraud detection practices and common red flags.
• Multilingual or local dialect proficiency depending on the assigned location.
