Senior Java Developer – Regulatory Systems (Fintech): Design, develop, and maintain regulatory software applications for financial compliance projects with an accent on Java, Spring Boot, database engineering, and reliable delivery. Focus on building regulatory reporting solutions, managing development and UAT environments, and solving production incidents across complex financial markets systems.

Location: Porto, Portugal; hybrid work with up to 3 remote days per week. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Europe.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain regulatory software applications that meet compliance and performance standards.
• Develop new regulatory reporting solutions for financial markets.
• Write technical specifications and documentation for new solutions.
• Manage development and UAT environments and support delivery and testing.
• Assist production teams with incident resolution, daily checks, and operational support.
• Collaborate with international teams while following CI/CD and Agile practices.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of software development experience, preferably in financial services.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, and Angular 10 expertise.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Sonar, Bitbucket, Linux, and OpenShift.
• Proficiency with SQL, Oracle, and SingleStore databases.
• Knowledge of MIFID 2, EMIR REFIT, OTC, Collateral, and listed derivatives.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in Europe are required.

Nice to have

• C# experience for the TRR target SAKIORI.
• Knowledge of XL Release, XL Deploy, and CtrlM.
• Certifications or additional expertise in financial regulatory domains.
