Salary: $86,300–$118,700 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead insurance accounts receivable, denial management, claims follow-up, credit balance resolution, refunds, patient billing support, and customer service activities.
• Manage and develop an internal team of approximately 10–15 direct reports.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging, collections, denial resolution, refunds, credit balances, and vendor service-level metrics.
• Partner with an outsourced revenue cycle customer service vendor and manage vendor performance.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, compliance, contracting, and finance teams to improve reimbursement and processes.
• Support regulatory compliance and organizational revenue goals through tactical operational decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field.
• 6 or more years of healthcare revenue cycle experience.
• 2 or more years of management experience.
• Experience managing revenue cycle, accounts receivable, or patient financial services teams.
• Strong knowledge of claims, denials, AR follow-up, patient billing, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, and Managed Care reimbursement.
• Ability to work from a dedicated home space and maintain internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload to protect PHI and HIPAA information.

Nice to have

• CPB, CPC, CCS, CRCR, or a similar healthcare revenue cycle certification.
• Experience supporting primary care, specialty care, or multi-site physician practices.
• Experience managing outsourced revenue cycle vendors or call center operations.
• Experience with Athenahealth or similar practice management and revenue cycle platforms.
