Senior Operations Engineer

Location: Lisbon, Portugal — hybrid. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Maintain the operability of production solutions, including CMDB updates, documentation, vulnerability and obsolescence management, and N2 support.
• Define, launch, monitor, and optimize batch processing through Control-M, handling abends, dependency anomalies, SLA breaches, and recovery activities.
• Monitor file transfers through CFT and Connect:Express and manage related incidents end to end.
• Supervise AWS and GCP infrastructure, including virtual machines, containers, managed services, IAM, costs, backups, and monitoring.
• Support application teams, production deployments, changes, and out-of-hours interventions while improving processing performance.
• Write operating procedures and operational reports, and act as a technical integrator with project managers and ScrumOps teams in line with DevOps standards.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Control-M scheduling, monitoring, incident management, chain creation, and optimization.
• Linux and Windows administration skills, including Bash scripting, permissions, process supervision, and log analysis.
• Experience with Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Jenkins, GitLab, and Ansible deployment pipelines.
• Practical AWS or GCP cloud operations experience, including Terraform or Ansible automation, IAM, KMS, monitoring, cost management, backups, and security.
• Experience with CFT or Connect:Express and knowledge of Dynatrace for APM monitoring, alerting, and root-cause analysis.
• English at B1 minimum and French at B1/B2 minimum are required. Familiarity with ITIL V4 and agile/DevOps practices is expected.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tools.
• Cloud platform or ITSM certifications.
