Mid-Level FinTech Application Support Specialist (FinTech)

Location: Porto, Portugal, with a hybrid work model. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Provide production application support for critical BGC banking applications and resolve incidents within high service-level standards.
• Automate and industrialize application-support processes to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor system performance, mitigate operational risks, and improve Control-M, web servers, application servers, and security controls.
• Support deployments, change management, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
• Document processes, best practices, and incident resolutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Maintain operational expertise across Windows and Linux environments in line with governance standards.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience supporting enterprise applications, preferably in FinTech or banking.
• Strong knowledge of Windows environments and working knowledge of Linux.
• Hands-on experience with Control-M or a similar scheduling tool.
• Familiarity with Apache HTTP Server, JBOSS, Tomcat, and IIS.
• Basic understanding of architecture, network protocols, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and security principles.
• Fluent English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• Certifications or training in Control-M, DevSecOps, or security.
• Experience supporting banking or financial-services applications.
