What you will do
- Define and evaluate cybersecurity controls for embedded operating systems, encryption, access controls, networking, middleware, and secure coding.
- Secure embedded Linux, QNX, Ethernet, cellular telematics, and other automotive networking technologies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements, identify design deficiencies, detect implementation defects, and verify product cybersecurity.
- Integrate security into product design, development, and software lifecycle activities.
- Manage external security vendors and partners and integrate third-party security solutions.
- Prepare cybersecurity case evidence, train stakeholders, and support product launch and software release readiness.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience with safety-critical cyber-physical systems in automotive, aerospace, medical, or related domains.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, with technical proficiency typically gained through 6+ years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of embedded, automotive, and autonomous-system cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Demonstrated experience with embedded Linux, QNX, AUTOSAR, and embedded networking.
- Ability to identify software and hardware weaknesses and document them through threat modeling.
Nice to have
- Experience with autonomous vehicles, especially L4 self-driving technology.
- Embedded automotive systems and embedded threat modeling experience.
- Experience with Classic AUTOSAR.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SDL, ISO 21434, AVCDL, or similar secure development lifecycles.
