Senior Business Analyst & SQL Specialist (French Speaker): Translating business needs into functional specifications and analyzing complex data for financial services and corporate banking solutions with an accent on SQL analysis, process improvement, and data validation. Location: Porto, Portugal, with a hybrid work model of up to three remote days per week. Candidates must have an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do
- Gather business challenges and translate requirements into functional specifications for technical teams.
- Write and execute SQL queries using filters, joins, and subqueries to extract and analyze data.
- Analyze as-is processes, identify inefficiencies, and design improved to-be process flows.
- Participate in testing, validate data consistency, and perform SQL-based quality checks.
- Create specifications, use cases, and user guides in French and provide functional support during deployment.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or data-oriented business consultant in financial or banking environments.
- Strong hands-on SQL skills, including complex joins, subqueries, and autonomous query writing.
- Experience gathering requirements, analyzing processes, and supporting technical teams.
- Fluent English and French at minimum B2 level, both written and spoken.
- Existing legal right to work in the European Union.
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment with up to three remote days per week.
Nice to have
- Experience with lease applications or banking projects.
- Knowledge of process mapping tools or methodologies.
- Certification or training in business analysis or data analysis.
