Business Analyst & SQL Specialist (French-speaking) (SQL/Financial Services): Translating business challenges into functional specifications, analyzing data, and improving operational processes for an international financial services organization with an accent on complex SQL analysis, requirements engineering, and process modeling. Focus on designing to-be workflows, validating data integrity during testing, and producing French-language documentation for stakeholders and deployment.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal, with a hybrid model of up to 3 remote days per week; candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do
- Gather requirements, analyze business challenges, and create functional specifications for technical teams.
- Write complex SQL queries with joins, subqueries, filters, groupings, and data manipulation.
- Analyze current processes, identify inefficiencies, and define future-state workflows.
- Participate in testing, validate data integrity, and support quality assurance activities.
- Document project details, use cases, specifications, and user guides in French.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, or data-focused consultant.
- Strong hands-on SQL skills, including autonomous queries with joins and subqueries.
- Experience gathering requirements and translating them into functional documentation.
- Experience with process mapping and process improvement.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
- French at B2 level or higher, written and spoken, is required for communication and documentation.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with process modeling tools or methodologies.
- Experience in international or financial services environments.
