Salary: $70,000–$100,000 per year

What you will do
- Support Cyber Operations in maintaining a stable and secure production environment for Avangrid Networks.
- Evaluate operating system patches and coordinate deployment with infrastructure teams.
- Review vulnerability scans and coordinate remediation with application and infrastructure specialists.
- Ensure new network, server, and application infrastructure follows security policies, hardening requirements, and baseline-scanning procedures.
- Develop metrics and reports covering patching, vulnerability remediation, and system monitoring.
- Maintain monitoring alert runbooks and coordinate technical reviews with cybersecurity, risk, architecture, and compliance groups.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with at least 4 years of related experience, bachelor’s degree with at least 7 years, or associate degree with at least 10 years.
- Working knowledge of networks, networking equipment, operating systems, server applications, and virtual environments including VMware.
- Strong technology administration, system engineering, and systems integration skills across IT and OT environments.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and scripting with PowerShell, VMware PowerCLI, Python, Perl, or similar languages.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with technical and corporate stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the Rochester office, with possible full-time office attendance.
Nice to have
- Experience with federal or state cybersecurity and regulatory environments, utility systems, or regulatory audits.
- Knowledge of NERC-CIP, NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and CIS Benchmarks.
- CISSP certification.
- Project, change, incident, or issue management experience.
