AI Pipeline Engineer

TL;DR

AI Pipeline Engineer (AI/Platform): Building and operating automated security pipelines that transform threat intelligence into validated, rolled-out protection for tens of millions of websites with an accent on orchestration, reliability, observability, and safe progressive delivery. Focus on designing resumable stateful workflows, enforcing latency budgets and quality gates, and controlling non-deterministic LLM components inside deterministic production systems.

Location: Fully remote from anywhere in the world, with flexible working hours. The role is available in Warsaw, Belgrade, Sofia, Madrid, Tbilisi, and Yerevan.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate multi-stage automated pipelines that convert threat intelligence into validated and deployed WAF protection.
• Develop resumable, idempotent, observable workflows with explicit state machines, recovery paths, latency budgets, and SLOs.
• Implement progressive delivery guardrails, automated holds and rollbacks, blast-radius controls, kill switches, and safe degradation.
• Build observability systems with metrics, dashboards, alerts, health gates, and actionable production signals.
• Scale CI validation across disposable environments, software versions, and configurations using container-based test environments.
• Collaborate with security analysts and server engineers while investigating complex issues across databases, storage, CI systems, networks, and third-party APIs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional backend, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Demonstrable experience building and operating multi-stage data or automation pipelines in production.
• Deep professional experience with at least one of Python, Go, or Rust, plus strong systems design judgment.
• Practical experience with workflow orchestration, job scheduling, reliability engineering, state machines, long-running processes, concurrency, and partial-failure handling.
• Hands-on experience with observability, CI/CD, Docker, object storage such as S3 or Ceph, and analytical databases such as ClickHouse.
• At least upper-intermediate spoken and written English required. Strong debugging and communication skills are also required.

Nice to have

• Experience with canary or percentage-based progressive delivery, feature flags, automated rollback, and blast-radius control.
• Production experience with AI or LLM systems, including token accounting, cost control, evaluation harnesses, and non-deterministic components.
• Experience with fleet-scale telemetry and quality gates based on noisy production signals.
• Familiarity with WordPress, PHP, WAF, ModSecurity, configuration management, or Linux service operations.
