Experienced Firmware Engineer (Embedded Linux)

Location: Onsite at the headquarters in Lund, Sweden.

What you will do

• Develop, deliver, and maintain firmware for network-connected fixed dome camera products.
• Configure and adapt a Linux-based operating system for next-generation devices.
• Analyse, design, and implement software features across kernel drivers and applications.
• Identify solutions to complex problems in a large embedded codebase.
• Optimise embedded system performance and contribute to improved engineering practices.
• Collaborate with teams working on image quality, electronics, mechanical design, production testing, and embedded Linux.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in firmware or embedded software development.
• Strong knowledge of Linux system programming across user space, kernel space, and device drivers.
• Professional experience with C and/or C++.
• Familiarity with continuous integration, Git, build tools, and agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience working with AI-powered development tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with GDB and Valgrind.
• Knowledge of shell, Python, or Perl scripting.
• Low-level programming experience with microcontrollers.
• Experience leading agile teams.
