Senior Backend Developer (External Integrations)

Location: Remote-first with no mandatory office attendance; work location and applicable compensation are confirmed during the recruitment process. In-person team offsites take place a few times a year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize backend components for external provider integrations.
• Maintain high stability, performance, and observability across a large integrations ecosystem.
• Apply test-driven development and A/B testing practices.
• Optimize and automate CI/CD pipelines to improve reliability and deployment speed.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.

Requirements

• Senior-level backend development experience with strong familiarity with Java-based systems.
• Experience writing clean, high-quality code and automated tests.
• Understanding of distributed systems, performance optimization, and observability.
• Familiarity with Java 17, Dropwizard or Restler, MongoDB, ClickHouse, Redis, Kafka, and related infrastructure.
• Good command of English required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing integrations with Feign or similar HTTP client frameworks.
• Strong background in building resilient distributed systems.
