Software Engineer - Level III (Full-Stack)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end system design for complex, high-scale backend platforms and define architectural principles.
• Build and maintain full-stack features across React or Angular frontends and Node.js microservices.
• Develop RESTful and event-driven internal and external APIs using MongoDB, AWS SNS, and AWS SQS.
• Implement monitoring, metrics, alerts, dashboards, and distributed tracing with tools such as CloudWatch and Sentry.
• Investigate production incidents and complex bugs across the UI, services, and data layers.
• Partner with product, design, and growth teams on experimentation, customer acquisition, activation, and conversion initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional full-stack development experience and a track record of leading system design for high-scale platforms.
• Strong Node.js, MongoDB, React and/or Angular experience, including microservices, schema design, indexing, aggregation, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures, AWS SNS/SQS or equivalent messaging systems, and broader AWS services.
• Experience with monitoring and observability, distributed tracing, and unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to independently own complex features, investigate ambiguous technical challenges, communicate trade-offs, and connect engineering work to business outcomes.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a remote, async-friendly environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in InsurTech, FinTech, or another regulated industry.
• Growth engineering experience with experimentation, A/B testing, funnel analytics, or conversion optimization.
• Experience with AI-assisted or agentic development, Infrastructure as Code, CircleCI, migrations, or frontend component libraries.
• Open source contributions.
