What you will do

• Design and develop backend services and REST APIs in Python and FastAPI.
• Build and orchestrate AI agents and agentic workflows with LangChain and LangGraph.
• Expose tools and agents through MCP and build features on semantic-model and gold-layer data.
• Design database schemas and migrations using SQLAlchemy and Alembic.
• Write asynchronous, well-tested production code and containerize services with Docker.
• Instrument agent behavior and collaborate with data, frontend, and product teams on the AI and MCP roadmap.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional Python backend development experience, including asynchronous programming.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, clean service architecture, and REST API design with FastAPI.
• Experience with SQLAlchemy, Alembic, AI agent logic, tool use, and state management with LangChain or LangGraph.
• Unit, integration, and API testing experience, including mocking LLM and agent calls.
• Experience with Docker, basic CI, and AI coding tools while maintaining sound engineering judgment.
• Excellent spoken and written English; Finnish is used mainly at work. A full-time work permit is required, and visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• FastMCP or MCP server-building experience.
• Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, BI, analytics platforms, semantic layers, or data warehouses.
• Machine learning, vector search, embeddings, RAG, dbt, or Databricks knowledge.
• Experience with Celery, arq, Redis, or integration platforms consolidating multiple source systems.
