Business Analyst (Banking)

What you will do

• Document business and functional requirements, business rules, user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyze end-to-end business processes, banking product data, dependencies, integration points, and downstream impacts.
• Define data lineage and support the development of data governance frameworks.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and QA teams on solution design, architecture documentation, test cases, and delivery.
• Manage product backlog activities, scope changes, risks, impact assessments, and contingency planning.
• Facilitate Joint Application Development sessions and support audit queries and operational issue resolution.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in a complex banking organization or major consulting firm.
• 5+ years of experience working in Agile Scrum or Kanban environments.
• 3+ years of experience documenting requirements, business rules, user stories, and epics for REST-based banking API platforms.
• Strong understanding of Spring, databases, database interface layers, Java development tools, and system architecture.
• Strong communication, collaboration, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with MS Visio, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex processes.

Nice to have

• Experience with UNIX, scripting languages, Hadoop ecosystem technologies, Scala, Spark, or PySpark.
• Familiarity with Kafka, MQ, other streaming platforms, JIRA, or ALM tools.
• Knowledge of financial markets, banking, wealth management, and the Financial Services industry.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, HTML, or Angular.
• Experience collaborating with global teams across different geographies and time zones.
