Senior SAP PE (Production Execution) Consultant

Location: Japan; remote work from anywhere in Japan if the client project allows it. A temporary office is available in Shinbashi, Tokyo. Up to 25 days of work from a preferred global location may be possible with client permission.

What you will do

• Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing operations, SAP functional teams, production planning, and shop floor stakeholders.
• Map business processes and align local Japanese operations with global standards and SAP PE best practices.
• Lead workshops and gather requirements from production, planning, and quality teams.
• Translate manufacturing requirements into functional specifications and guide implementation teams.
• Support system testing, data validation, cutover, training, and change management activities.
• Integrate SAP PE with PP, QM, EWM, and MES systems while supporting compliance, traceability, and reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of hands-on SAP experience, including deep expertise in SAP PE and familiarity with PP, QM, WM, EWM, and MES integration points.
• Experience with global or regional SAP implementations, including at least two full-cycle SAP PE deployments.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, shop floor control, batch management, manufacturing execution, and SAP PE configuration.
• Knowledge of GxP compliance and validation requirements in regulated environments.
• Japanese proficiency at JLPT N2 or higher and English proficiency are required.
• Strong communication skills, adaptability to fast-paced projects, and willingness to travel as needed.
