Managing Consultant - Digital Manufacturing (AI)

Location: Chicago, Dallas, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, or Atlanta, United States.

Salary: $105,600–$190,000 base compensation, with potential additional variable compensation.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end client projects delivering AI-powered manufacturing improvements.
• Advise clients on current and future factory platforms with a focus on return on investment.
• Design and plan modern MES and digital manufacturing solutions.
• Define IT/OT integration using ISA-95 and ISA-88 industry standards.
• Manage risks, vendors, delivery governance, and sustainable manufacturing operations.
• Mentor teams, promote AI literacy, manage senior stakeholders, and develop proposals and RFPs.

Requirements

• 8–15 years of experience in digital manufacturing consulting.
• Strong MES, SCADA, and automation platform expertise with implementation experience.
• AI literacy and experience applying analytics or automation in manufacturing.
• Proven problem-solving, executive communication, stakeholder management, team leadership, and delivery governance skills.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles, including ethics, privacy, security, and governance.

Nice to have

• Experience in life sciences manufacturing, GMP, LIMS, or EBR.
• Familiarity with OPC-UA, MQTT, Kafka, cloud architecture, or edge computing.
• Agile/Scrum certification and agile delivery experience.
• Vendor certifications or training in digital manufacturing and smart factory platforms.
