TL;DR
Platform Tech Lead (AI) (C#/.NET, Kubernetes, Cloud): Designing and building the cloud-native platform, scalable backend services, and developer infrastructure powering Atera's R&D teams with an accent on microservices architecture, scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Focus on making architectural decisions, solving complex distributed-systems challenges, and accelerating development through AI coding tools and spec-driven engineering workflows.

What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services with C# and .NET Core.
- Lead the evolution of the cloud-native platform and microservices architecture.
- Build infrastructure and developer platforms that improve engineering team productivity.
- Work with Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Drive decisions around scalability, reliability, security, performance, and observability.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across multiple teams.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience building cloud-native systems with Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience.
- Expert proficiency in C#/.NET Core, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- Experience designing highly scalable RESTful microservices and working in platform or infrastructure engineering.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including MSSQL and MongoDB.
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot, including spec-driven development with AI agents.
Nice to have
- Experience configuring AI development tools, including custom instructions, MCP servers, or reusable prompt libraries.
- Experience optimizing large-scale distributed systems.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, memory management, and .NET garbage collection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
